• Winning isn’t everything

So I’m sitting at home in my favorite chair watching the NCAA men’s basketball  championship game. My family and close friends know how much I enjoy basketball. So many great memories began to race into my mind as I watched this final game.

Sports teaches you many lessons, one for sure is “Perspective and Priorities.” As a basketball player from junior high to post-college overseas and a basketball coach of 13-22 year-olds over the past 35-plus years, I’ve had the thrill of victories and the agony of defeats.

  • Choose your friends wisely

A well-chosen friend is one of the greatest joys of this life.  But an ill-chosen friend can bring heartache. Two stories from the Bible demonstrate how a friend can either lead a person closer to or further away from God’s will.
