    Carrollton’s July 4th Family Celebration at Point Park, sponsored by the City of Carrollton and Carroll County Fiscal Court. Music begins at 2 p.m. Arts and crafts vendors, flea market, food vendors and inflatables. Fireworks at 10 p.m. Rain date July 7.

    2 And, behold, there was a man named Zacchaeus, which was the chief among the publicans, and he was rich.

    3 And he sought to see Jesus who he was; and could not for the press, because he was little of stature.

    Zacchaeus just wanted to see Jesus. Not through somebody else’s eyes, somebody else’s opinion, or even somebody else’s ideology. He just wanted an un-adulterated view of Jesus. “He sought to see Jesus who he was.”

    Carrollton’s St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church, the Carrollton Christian Church Disciples of Christ Church and the United Methodist Church of Carrollton will jointly hold Vacation Bible School “Shipwrecked:  Rescue By Jesus” 6-8 p.m., July 9-13, 2018. at the United Methodist Church, 310 Highland Ave. in Carrollton.
