Third set performance not enough to salvage win for Lady Panthers

Carroll County’s Lady Panthers volleyball team took on the rival Henry County Lady Cats Tuesday night in varsity competition.

The Lady Panthers struck early in the first set, taking a 7-3 lead over Henry County before the Lady Cats took a time out. However, the momentum quickly shifted to Henry’s advantage, closing the gap to two points before Carroll County called for a timeout to chat about the strategy. Things didn’t improve by the time the Lady Panthers called for another break as Henry County opened up to a 16-9 lead and went on to win the set 25-12.
