    WHEATLEY, Ky. – Kenny Suter, 68, of Wheatley died Friday, July 25, 2008, at the New Horizons Medical Center in Owenton, Ky.

    Funeral services are 2 p.m.  today, Wednesday, July 30, at McDonald and New Funeral Home, 202 N. Main St., Owenton, with Brother Matt Dye officiating. Burial will be in the Wheatley Masonic Cemetery, Wheatley.

  • Beatrice L. Gibson, 85

    PARIS, Ky. – Beatrice Loretta McNamer Gibson, 85, died Sunday, July 20, 2008, at her home following an extended illness.

    A graveside service will be at 2 p.m. today, Wednesday, July 23, at the Paris Cemetery Chapel. A celebration of Mrs. Gibson’s life will follow at 3 p.m. at Duncan Tavern. There is no visitation.

    Mrs. Gibson was born Nov. 12, 1922, in Augusta, Ky., to Robert and Nettie McNamer. She was a 1939 graduate of Harrodsburg High School and went on to marry Ralph Gibson of Harrodsburg, Ky.

  • Carolyn Sue Pender Conrad, 52

    MADISON, Ind. – Carolyn Sue Pender Conrad, 52, of Madison died, Saturday, July 12, 2008, in a motorcycle accident in Versailes, Ind.

    Funeral services were Friday, July 18, at Morgan and Nay Funeral Centre, 325 Demaree Drive, Madison, with the Rev. Frank McGee officiating. Burial  was at the Indiana Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Madison, Ind.

    Mrs. Conrad was born Sept. 15, 1955, in Madison to Earl Lee Pender and Mary B. Buchanan Pender Shaffer. She was a graduate of Madison High School and a member of the First Baptist Church in Madison.

  • Katheryn Williams Chapman, 85

    CARROLLTON, KY. – Kathryn “Kate” Chapman, 85, died Wednesday, July 16, 2008, at Carroll County Memorial Hospital.

    A memorial service was Saturday, July 19, at the Carrollton United Methodist Church, with  the Revs. Shannon Boaz and Clifford Sparks officiating.

    Mrs. Chapman was born April 1, 1923, in Louisville, Ky., to the late Edward and Kathryn Gray Ball. She graduated from Nazareth Academy near Bardstown, Ky., where she was known as an artist, horsewoman and athlete.

  • Morris Thomas Durham, 50

    MILTON, Ky. – Morris Thomas “Tom” Durham, 50, of Milton died Saturday, July 19, 2008, at Jewish Hospital in Louisville, Ky.

    Funeral services were Wednesday, July 23, at Ransdell Funeral Home in Bedford, Ky., with Pastor Kathy Allen officiating. Burial was in Grandview Memorial Gardents in Madison, Ind.

    Mr. Durham was born Jan. 12, 1958, in Louisville, to Carlos and Virginia (Reynolds) Durham.

  • Nelson L. Beardsley, 86

    BEDFORD, Ky. – Nelson L. “Nels” Beardsley, 86, died Sunday, July 20, 2008, at Bedford Health Care in Bedford.

    Funeral services are 11 a.m. Thursday, July 24, at Morgan and Nay Funeral Centre, 325 Demaree Drive, Madison, Ind., with the Rev. John A. Meyer officiating. Burial will be in St. Patrick Cemetery in Madison, with military honors conducted by Jefferson Post 9 of the American Legion.

    Visitation is 5-7 p.m. today and from 9 a.m. until the time of the service tomorrow.

  • Carolyn Ann New, 55

    LOUISVILLE, Ky. –Carolyn Ann Still New, 55, of Louisville died Tuesday, July 15, 2008, at her home.

    Funeral service was Saturday, July 19, at Heady Radcliffe Funeral Home, La Grange, Ky., with the Rev. Jerry Beard officiating. Burial was at Dallasburg Cemetery in Owen County.

    She was a member of the Shawnee VFW Post Ladies Auxiliary, where she was sergeant at arms.

  • Helen May Turner

    CARROLLTON, Ky. – Helen May Turner, 85, of Carrollton died Friday, July 11, 2008, at Baptist Hospital Northeast Hospice in La Grange, Ky.

    Funeral services were Monday, July 14, at Tandy-Eckler-Riley Funeral Home, 809 Highland Ave., Carrollton, with the Rev. Tom Jennings officiating. Burial was in the I.O.O.F. Cemetery in  Owenton, Ky.

    Mrs. Turner was born Aug. 24, 1922, in Sweet Owen, Owen County, Ky., to the late Fred and Martha (Shields) Raisor. She was a housewife and a member of Milton Baptist Church.

  • Pauline 'Polly' Green Caswell Yengich

    MIDVALE, Utah – Pauline Green Caswell Yengich, 57, formerly of Madison, Ind., died Saturday, July 12, 2008, at the residence of her sister-in-law in Madison.

    Visitation, locally, will be 4-8 p.m. today at the Morgan and Nay Funeral Centre, 325 Demaree Drive, Madison.

    Funeral services will be held later in Midvale, and will be handled by Goff Mortuary. She will be interred in Midvale City Cemetery.

  • John O. Dryden

    MADISON, Ind. – John O. Dryden, 86, of Madison died Tuesday, July 8, 2008, at The Waters of Clifty Falls in Madison.

    Funeral services were  July 11 at graveside at the Dupont Cemetery near Dupont, Ind., with the Rev. Gerry Sandusky officiating. Full military honors were conducted graveside by Jefferson Post 9 of the American Legion.

    Mr. Dryden was born July 2, 1922, in Jefferson County, Ind., to the late George and Della Corya Dryden. He married Vivan L. Whann in 1946.
