    Thursday, April 18: Cartmell and Winn Breakfast: Mini pancakes, Pop Tart variety, blueberries and 100% fruit juice; Lunch: Ham, seasoned green beans, mashed potatoes, dinner roll, baked apples and Jello.

    Friday, April 19: Cartmell and Winn Breakfast: Egg eggstravaganza, toast, apple cinnamon toast, orange and 100% fruit juice; Lunch: Pizza crunchers, buttered corn, cucumber and green peppers, diced peaches and pineapple. CCMS and CCHS will add Pop Tart variety to breakfast and for lunch will add chicken bacon ranch flatbread to lunch.

  • KEMI declares $4.77 million refund to school board insurance policyholders

    LEXINGTON – The board of directors for Kentucky Employers’ Mutual Insurance (KEMI), the Kentucky Department of Insurance, and Franklin Circuit Court approved a plan to return $4.77 million to the Kentucky School Boards Insurance Trust Workers’ Compensation Fund (KSBIT). The refund is a result of effective management by KEMI to control claims costs.

  • Construction work ready for 6 Kathryn Winn classrooms

    The Carroll County Board of Education approved a $521,033 change order for the renovation of six existing Kathryn Winn Primary classrooms into four Head Start classrooms.

    The change order follows the BG-1 approved last fall by the Board of Education after structural issues were discovered with the roof in a 1960s section of the building. This will allow for Head Start to move to a full-day program.
