    Artwork may be turned in to the Carrollton Library. The Greater Federation of Woman’s Clubs Kentucky is sponsoring it’s annual Student Art Contest. High School Students may enter art work in the categories of painting, drawing, sculpture, printmaking, photography, computer design and crafts. Judging will take place Feb. 14. Artwork will remain on display for the remainder of the month.

  • District plans June celebration for 50-year anniversary

    The June 18 meeting of the Carroll County Board of Education will be anything but regular. A large part of the meeting will celebrate the 50-year anniversary of the July 1, 1965, merger between the city and county schools, which led to the current arrangement of the Carroll County School District.

    While the entire community, as always, is invited to attend the board meeting, special invitations are being sent to former superintendents.

    The Lady Panthers picked up their fourth straight win over the Lady Rebels Friday, Jan. 30, winning 50-45. Carroll’s Haley Dermon led all scorers with 17 points.
