    This menu is for Kathryn Winn Primary and Cartmell Elementary Schools,  changes for Carroll County High School and Middle School will be italicized.


    Thursday, Sept. 18: Breakfast: chicken biscuit; lunch: rotini with meat sauce, breadstick, garden salad, broccoli, grapes or applesauce.

     Friday, Sept. 19: Breakfast: cinnamon rolls; lunch:  pizza, garden salad, corn, orange or peaches.

  • School district will be tobacco-free July 1, 2015

    Starting July 1, 2015, all buildings and grounds in the Carroll County School District will be tobacco-free.  This ban will apply on district property at all times, in all places and to all people, including at sporting events and inside vehicles.  The ban also will apply to electronic cigarettes.

    The Carroll County School District Local Planning Committee will be meeting at the Carroll County Board of Education Conference room on Thursday Sept. 18, beginning at 5:30 p.m.

  • Transformation plays an important role in life

    The smell of fresh cut grass and leather is in the air.  It is once again football season and the lights at the high school stay on a little later, now that Friday nights are here. 

    Saturday mornings offer up ESPN’s College Gameday and many people watch the pregame show with anticipation as another football season is unraveling. A fan of the gridiron can find a game on TV just about any day of the week now.  Football is everywhere.

    As a former footballer myself, I find it interesting, how rapidly the game is changing and evolving.

  • Volleyball wins at Henry, 3-1

    Carroll County volleyball traveled to Henry County Sept. 11, and defeated the Lady Wildcats 3-1 in a 31st district matchup. The Lady Panthers lost the first game, 22-25, then won the next three games 25-22, 25-21, and 25-9.

  • Owen beats Carroll, 5-0

    The Lady Rebels soccer team used their physical style of play to their advantage against the Lady Panthers Thursday, Sept. 11, winning 5-0.

    Despite the loss, head coach Greg Damron was positive about Carroll County’s determination to not let it happen again.  

  • Lady Panthers runners-up in All ‘A’

    Carroll County finished as the runner-up at the 8th Region All “A” volleyball tournament Sept. 13.

    The Lady Panthers fell to Walton-Verona in the championship game 2-0 (20-25,9-25). Carroll defeated Gallatin County 2-1 (25-17, 23-25, 25-17) and host Trimble County 2-1 (25-16, 20-25, 27-25) to advance to the championship game.
