“Oh, thank God!” was the reaction of several friends and family members waiting at the home of Rob and Traci McBurney on Port William Lane in Carrollton, when they got word Tuesday that police had located their missing daughter.

More than 50 local police, rescue and fire department members, along with many community volunteers, mobilized Tuesday morning after the family reported the girl missing around 6 a.m.

The 12-year-old girl, Faith Antoinette McBurney, was found unharmed about five hours after the search began in an area near Gillock Avenue.
