College news for former students from Carroll and Trimble counties.

• Seven Trimble County and six Carroll County graduates were recently named to Dean’s Lists at the University of Kentucky. To qualify for the Dean’s List, students must earn 12 or more credit hours as letter grades with a minimum 3.6 grade point average for the semester.

Those recognized for achievement from Trimble County include: Wesley D. Henderson, Pre-Information Communication Technology; Kalyann M. Meece, Public Health; Megan T. Perkinson, Integrated Strategic Communication; Maddi S. Stark, English; Shelby E. Wilcoxson, Human Health Sciences; Hannah A. Beecham, Kinesiology; and Chloe S. Young, Pre-Nursing.

Those recognized for achievement from Carroll County include: Taylor D. Franklin, Marketing; Lila H. Hollingsworth, Undeclared/Exploratory Studies in ED; Layne E. Huesman, Family Sciences; Courtney A. Strickland, Pre-Marketing; Kennedy B. Dzuba, Kinesiology; and Bailey D. Stewart, Communication.

• Carolyn Cissell of Madison and Treavor Smith of Milton, Kentucky, were named to the President’s List at the University of the Cumberlands. To be eligible for the President’s List, students must be enrolled at least 12 credit hours, maintain a minimum 4.0 grade point average, receive an “A” grade in the leadership service UC Engage course, and be in good academic standing.

Students making the Dean’s List at the University of the Cumberlands are Kara Debaun, Ghent, Kentucky; Katie Habas, Carrollton, Kentucky; Mikaela Hall, Bedford, Kentucky; and Ashley Bates and Bayleigh McVicker, both of Milton. Dean’s List eligibility requires a minimum semester grade point average of 3.5.

• MeLysa Weir of Carrollton has been named to Southern New Hampshire’s fall 2023 President’s List. Full-time undergraduate students who earned a minimum grade point average of 3.7 and above are named to the President’s List.

• Kaelynn Pugh of Bedford, has been named to the Dean’s List at Midway University for the fall 2023 semester. To be named to the list, a student must be classified as full-time and obtain at 3.6 grade point average for the semester.

• Lauren Haney, of Bedford, was named to the Dean’s List at Belmont University in Nashville for the fall semester include. Eligibility is based on a minimum course load of 12 hours and a grade point average of 3.5 with no grade below a C.
